AGC Glass Building
I recently worked on the proofreading of a publication devoted to the AGC Glass Building in Louvain-la-Neuve. Designed by Philippe Samyn, the building is one of the largest, nearly zero-energy buildings in Belgium. The English version of the book is published by Lannoo.
Architectural Review Flanders no. 11
I recently contributed some translations to the Architectural Review Flanders no. 11, published by the Flemish Architecture Institute. The review takes a critical look at the architectural output of the past two years. It features essays by a range of contributors as well as photographs by Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert. The review will be presented to the public on 18 September in Antwerp. Below is the photograph used on the cover of the review.
ArchiLab 2013
ArchiLab 2013, the 9th edition of the international exhibition on experimental architecture, opened in mid September at FRAC Centre in Orléans, France. Curated by Marie-Ange Brayer and Frédéric Migayrou, the exhibition runs until 02 February 2014: if you want to get an idea of what the architecture of tomorrow is going to be like, this is definitely the place to visit. The architecture is mind-blowing. More info on the exhibition on the FRAC Centre website. A French-English bilingual catalogue was published to coincide with the opening of the show. I contributed English translations to the catalogue, which is published by Editions HYX, a publishing house that specializes in architecture, art, philosophy, digital cultures and literature. The catalogue is available from their website.
XX Models – Young Belgian Architecture
XX Models: Young Belgian Architecture is a small exhibition on Belgian architecture that will run until 25 November at the BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. The exhibition was curated by Marie-Cécile Guyaux and Iwan Strauwen. The catalogue is published by A+editions and BOZAR BOOKS. I contributed a couple of translations, and I also took care of revising the English.
